Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Sprout Way mobile app (the "App") handles personal data. Sprout Way is a development companion that supports your baby's growth without comparison. We respect your privacy: we do not show ads, we do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not sell your data.

1. Data Controller

Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller is:

2. Data We Process

The App stores most data locally on your device. Data is only sent to our servers (Supabase) when you use the specific features noted below.

a) Data you enter

Child information: a name or nickname, date of birth, (optional) gender, avatar, and skill/development preferences. This information is entered by the parent/guardian.
Activity logs: activities you complete, durations, optional notes, and optional photos you attach. Photos stay on your device and are only uploaded to your account if you enable sync.
Development markers: the steps and observations you mark along your child's development journey.

b) Account & identity

No email or password is required for basic use — the App identifies you with an anonymous identifier.
If you optionally create an account and sign in (for backup/sync): your email address. This feature is optional.

c) Purchase information

We manage your premium subscription through RevenueCat (subscription status, product ID). Payment is processed by the Apple App Store / Google Play; your card/payment details never reach us.

d) Usage & diagnostics

PostHog: pseudonymous usage events (e.g. which screens are used) to improve the App and toggle features.
Sentry: crash and error reports (device model, OS version, stack trace) to improve stability.

Data we do NOT collect: We do not collect location data. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID). We do not share data with ad networks. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Why We Process Data (Legal Bases)

4. Storage & Location

On your device: child profile, activity logs, and notes are stored primarily in a local database on your device. Deleting the App removes this data from your device.
On our servers (Supabase): data is stored on our servers only if you use the backup/sync feature. Servers may be located in the European Union and/or the United States.
We retain data while your account is active and as required by law, and delete it within a reasonable time upon your request.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

The following processors handle only the data necessary to provide the service:

6. International Transfers

The providers above may host servers outside Türkiye. Where this happens, your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards under KVKK Art. 9 and the relevant provisions of the GDPR. You can keep your data on your device only by not enabling these features.

7. Children's Privacy

Sprout Way is designed to be used by parents and guardians (adults) and is not directed at children. Any information about a child in the App (name, date of birth, etc.) is entered by the adult account holder. We use this information only to provide personalized content to the parent and do not process a child's identity for marketing. We do not target individuals under 13 as users.

8. Your Rights

Under KVKK Art. 11 and the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, and the right to data portability.

You can submit access, rectification, erasure, and portability requests through the account settings inside the App (account deletion) or via the contact channel below.
To fully delete your account or exercise other rights, email omerfarukballi@gmail.com.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encrypted transmission, access controls) to protect your data. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will announce material changes in the App or on this page. The current version is always published at this address.
